Nils is a talented engineer with good ears. You can tell he
really takes pride in his work and is dedicated to making sure
you sound good. The thing that stands out with my session
with Nils is his sense of pace. I was struggling with a part and
Nils recommended a quick break to clear my head. After the
break, I was so much more productive and it really made the
difference.

Thank you for the wonderful work you did restoring my
mother's original stories. She had recorded them in her home
twenty years ago and we wanted very much to copy them for
her great grandchildren. As she died several years ago it was
no longer possible to obtain a new recording.
You made that new recording unnecessary anyway because
your reworked file is so lovely. You removed a number of
extraneous clicks and odd background noises, improving the
quality of both pieces. I especially appreciated your fixing the
opening of "Ribble, Tribble, and Troy." It had been copied
several times and at some point the opening two words had
been lost. You isolated the sound bite we needed and edited it
in smoothly. I am also very grateful for the closing to "Evening
in the Jungle." It had been a series of "Goodnight _____",
naming each of my children in turn. We wanted to
take out the name references without losing the idea that
Grandma was saying Good night. You accomplished this
smoothly by splicing in three "Goodnight"s in turn. It sounds
warm and wonderful.
You helped us pass on a piece of family history which would
have been lost. While we had been copying the stories, the
quality had been degenerating and we were more and more
discouraged as we passed the stories on. Your reworked
sound file can be burned onto CDs as we need without losing
the quality.
My siblings have thanked me profusely for the gift of their
mother's voice. We will always be grateful to you as will my
mother's 35 grandchildren and (so far) 4 great-grandchildren.
